On Saturday 2nd April Cadets and Staff from 2484 (Bassingbourn) and (Cambourne) DF attended the annual Easter Camp along with the 28 other Squadrons from Beds & Cambs Wing based at the Stanta Training Ground in Norfolk.

Upon arrival the cadets were put into one of twelve flights and throughout the week competed against each other in various activities such as Raft Building, Orienteering, Climbing & Abseiling, Command Tasks, Pre-deployment, Fieldcraft, PT and the main event - THE 24 Hour Exercise.

After a thoroughly enjoyable but exhausting week making new friends, getting active and learning new skills, the cadets had their final parade where upon they found out who won Best Room, Best Flight for the Exercise in which we had Cdt Chesham and Best Flight overall and this year it was won by C flight and we had Sgt Springall and Cpl Solon in that flight.

Cadets Nussey & Brangwyn said it was a great first Easter Camp and the Fieldcraft was the best experience as we haven’t really done it before and the raftbuilding was really enjoyable too.

All in all it was a very successful camp and the cadets and staff cannot wait to go again next year.
